Options for Working Together
Our clients want flexibility.
Some start out doing spend analysis themselves and come to Assymetrix Pty Ltd for cost effective operational maintenance of the data. Others ask us to get them started by building a spend cube, which we later transfer to in-house staff. Some come to us for specialized training to make their teams proficient in the tools and practices used by the world's leading procurement organizations.
Regardless of how you choose to work with us, you will find our programs highly cost effective and our service delivery extremely flexible. The choice is yours. Typically, clients work with us in three different ways:
1. Help you create a new spend analysis program: start from scratch.
For organizations that know that good data will help them save money, Assymetrix Pty Ltd can help you design and deliver a spend analysis program. This might be a stand alone, single commodity focus; a broad, full vendor review; or the "control panel" for a large savings initiative.
A complete program begins by creating your spend baseline. This is a complete and accurate picture of what is being spent, with whom and by whom. It can include all spending throughout the enterprise, or focus on a single commodity. We then analyze the data for savings opportunities from sourcing, fast track negotiation, vendor consolidation, reduction in maverick spending and improving your vendor management. As you generate these savings, you refresh the data to allow you to measure and manage your program and look for additional opportunities.
2. Revitalize or improve an existing program: extract more value from your current data
and determine how to make it more useful and meaningful.
We are often called upon to re-energize a stalled spend analysis initiative. If you have an existing solution which isn't delivering the value expected, or if you feel that you've already picked the low-hanging fruit and now need to reach for the next level of savings, we can help. In these cases, we will jump start existing programs with tools and services that complement them and help to extract additional savings that are sustainable over time.
3. Help you with resources to 'get it done': you focus on using the data to deliver value to your organization.
Our staff assists many clients with the operational portions of the spend analysis so they can focus on leveraging the information to generate value. Some clients prefer to do it themselves, but want to leverage our experience through the Work-Alongside Training program which gives clients real experience in building their datasets.
Work-Alongside Training Program
The Work-Alongside Training Program is designed for clients who want to do their own spend analysis, but want to learn how to do it from experts. This program is a hands-on, step-by-step walk through of the construction of a spend cube from data loading, to data enhancement, to delivering value.
Our experts will walk your team through the same processes we have used to perform spend analysis for some of the world's leading procurement organizations. By transferring our knowledge to you, your team is equipped with the same tools and techniques that we use for our clients. The Work-Alongside Training Program provides your analysts a step-by-step approach for all different parts of a spend analysis program including:
- Creating an initial spend cube.
- Developing the process to refresh this data over time.
- Creating additional value-generating data cubes from other data sources.
- Identifying savings opportunities.
Let Assymetrix Pty Ltd Deliver
Our team of specialists can perform all of the data preparation and analysis work for you. We can provide a turnkey solution or take on portions of the tasks. For some clients, we build the initial spend cube and the client maintains it. For other clients who have a spend cube, we take over the regular monthly or quarterly refresh process. For others, we provide insight into their spending and opportunities for savings.
Which ever way we engage with clients, our focus is on delivering value from better information.
